- How long does it take to transfer a domain?
Usually it does not take more than a working day from the time we receive
your payment and contact information (needed for updating the domain records)
to reflect the change of ownership. Considering we primarily list only the
domains that we own, and the fact that we are also a full-service domain name
registration service provider affiliated with Tucows, we have the ability
to make the changes ourselves. This eliminates the usual red-tape delays.
- What is a typical process involving sale of a domain at SlashRoot.Com?
It is quite stright forward. After we receive your offer on a domain
name, we email you back to let you know if your offer is acceptable to us.
If your offer is less than what we are expecting for a domain, we let you
know the buy now price by sending you a counter offer. As soon
as we have an agreement on the final price, we direct you to a web page on
our site that allows you to complete your registration and allows you to make
a binding committment to purchase the domain at the said buy now price.
As soon as we have your purchase order, we mail you the instructions for sending
in your payment. As soon as the payment has been received, we confirm receipt
of your payment and start the domain transfer promptly thereafter.
- Do you market your domain names through other channels?
Our primary focus is on promoting our domains through SlashRoot.Com. We
invest a lot of effort and resources in promoting our domains at SlashRoot.Com.
However, considering the broad spectrum of domain names that we own, we must
actively market them to prospective buyers through different channels.
As a result of our active, multi-pronged approach to domain marketing, we
often have offers from contacts made through other marketing channels. Therefore,
as soon as we have a buyer at SlashRoot.Com, we evaluate all those offers
received/pending from various interested parties, and either accept a buy
now offer from a buyer at SlashRoot.Com, or make a counter offer that
is valid only for a short period of time.
- What forms of payment are acceptable to you?
We prefer PayPal. It is secure, fast and pretty reliable. It allows you

Except in very, very rare cases, we do not list third party domains.
